Tormarton FC originally formed in 2012 under the name of Cesson FC. After two seasons in 2014, the club was renamed Tormarton FC.
In the 2016-17 season the club won the GFA Intermediate Cup.
The club founded its first ever reserve team in the 2021-22 season with Tom Ashton running the team as manager. The reserves finished 10th in their inaugural season in the Bristol and District League (Division 5). At the end of the season Tom Ashton stepped down Reserve Team Manager due to personal reasons.
For the 2022-23 season, the club reverted back to having one team with an aim to push on and have a strong season with a singular strong squad.
In the 2024/2025 season, the club re-introduced the reserve team in Division 4 of the Bristol and District leagues. In November 2024, first team manager Sam Jarman left the role as First Team manager after 5 years in the role and Reserve Team manager Owen Batchen was promoted to First Team manager.
The first team had an up-and-down season: with only 3 wins in their first 12 games (one of which was against high-flying Lawrence Weston 1sts), the firsts sat in 9th place at Christmas and only 4 points above the relegation zone with the most games played in the league. The first game back in January spelled danger too after a 7-0 loss to (eventually promoted) Made For Ever First and a narrow 2-1 loss to Hanham Abbotonians. However, a last minute winner away to Longwell Green Sports Development saw an uptick in form: the first's were able to win 6 games in their last 10 matches to cement their place in 9th with 29 points from 24 games. This included a 4-1 thrashing against local rivals, Chipping Sodbury Town Development, after narrowly missing out on a point in the reverse fixture earlier in the season due to a last minute penalty.
The reserve team fared better at the start of the season with 2 wins from their opening 3 games and scoring 13 goals. The reserves, however, struggled to raise a consistent side while propping up the first team and went on to be winless in their next 11 games, despite good draws at home vs Lion Reserves and away at Stockwood Green Reserves. This left the reserves propping up the foot of the B&D and sat bottom of Division 4 with only 8 points in 14 games. At home to Fry Club B, the reserves managed to grind out a 3-2 win to bring them within a point of 12th placed Hanham Athletic A, but could not capitalise and lost their next 3. Despite this, they were still only 1 point away from Hanham, and with 6 games left in the season the reserves started stringing together results: they started with a brilliant 4-1 win vs Seymour United Reserves and leapfrogged over Hanham, following this up with a 2-2 draw away at Fry Club B. They then increased the gap below them to 6 points after beating Hanham Athletic B and put in an amazing performance to beat title hopefuls Shaftesbury Crusade A, putting the reserves level on points with Stockwood Green Reserves and Iron Acton A. They were unlucky to lose against Redfield Rovers Reserves in their penultimate match, and were then awarded 3 points on the last match of the season to earn them a 12th placed finish on goal difference, with 24 points in their 24 games.
In the cup, the first team beat Longwell Green Sports Development 2-1 in the first round, but were knocked out in the second round by Sporting Greyhound First, who won 1-0.
